An Effective Contour Tracing Algorithm on Nonconnective Regions

本文将T.pavlidis发展的连通域轮廓跟踪算法与图形分割算法相结合,发展了一种对任何复杂图形均有效的非连通域轮廓跟踪算法,并用于文字识别的预处理。文中还指出了T.pavlidis算法存在的缺陷,同时作了若干改进。

By combining the contour tracing algorithm on connective regions developed by T. Pavlidis with the picture segmentation algorithm, this paper offers an effective contour tracing algorithm for any complicated pictures on nonconnective regions, which can be used for the preprocessing of characters recognition. Moreover, some disadvantages of the T. Pavlidis Algorithm are pointed out and corrected.
