In 20s and 30s of 20th century,most researchers,who studied Chinese history in fiction,only traced the source of fictional history back to mythology and legend. After we,however,have made a careful study of the track along which the Chinese fiction has evolved and developed,we have found that mythology and legend cannot take the dominant place,that fables occupy a certain place,and that the Chinese historical and biographic literature dominates over the developmental history of the Chinese fiction.
