The book Divorce centers on the life of an intellectual Lao Li among lower-middle class townsfolk.Through the gradual demise of his hope,the book shows that the day-to-day existence of lower-middle class life can corrode the very soul of human beings.The ones that showed in the works were grieved because the vulgar sociology is victorious at last;those contradictions that are embodied out on Lao Li,is exactly the contradictions that the intellects f Lao S-he’s generation had to face.
