With the rapid development of the power network in Sanshui City (County), the capacity and functions of the original SINAUT SPECTRUM SCADA system could no longer meet the needs of power network dispatching; as a result, NARIs OPEN 2000 system is adopted, which is the systems first application to county level power network. The paper describes the functions and features of the system as well as its good effects on improving the automation level of power network dispatching in Sanshui City. Practical results show that the system is fit for dispatching departments at county level.
