本文比较了元代和北宋、南宋私人藏书的数量和藏书家的人数 ,指出元代私人藏书在两宋的基础上 ,略有发展 ;揭示了元代私人藏书家的社会身份、元代私人藏书家的地理分布及对明清私人藏书地理分布格局的影响 ;论述了元代藏书家对私人藏书的保存、利用 ,元代私人藏书散佚的原因。

Firstly comparing the Yuan Dynasty with the North Song Dynasty and the South Song Dynasty,this article concludes that the population who have a private library and the number of books they collect increase;Secondly it analyzes the status and geographical distribution of people who have a private library and offection to geographical distribution of private library of the Ming and the Qing Dynasty;Lase it discusses the use,the preservation of private library and the results why private books scatter and disappear.
