Multimedia Technology and Reforms in Foreign Language Teaching

信息时代的到来以及国际交往的日益频繁,使得外语的作用也越来越明显.而多媒体以其图、文、声、像、影合一和交互性等特点给我们的外语教学带来了机遇.为了顺应时代潮流,我们必须利用多媒体技术改革我们的外语教学.本文探讨了多媒体和外语教学的特点,以及多媒体在外语教学中的作用,并指出了存在的问题.

The advent of information age and increasing international exchanges have made foreign languages more and more important. Multimedia technology, which is characterized by a combination of graphic, textual, audio and video functions, provides us with a more effective approach to foreign language teaching. At this moment, it is necessary for us to reform the current foreign language teaching model so as to meet the demands posed by a modern society. This thesis is intended to discuss the characteristics of multimedia technology and foreign language teaching, and the appliance of multimedia technology in language teaching, and try to identify some technical problems concerned.
