珠江三角洲经济起飞始于镇域经济的崛起 ,镇域经济的发展体现出珠三角工业化发展的路径。珠三角镇域经济突出的特点是“一镇一业 ,一镇一品” ,并在此基础上形成以加工业为主导的专业镇经济 ;另一特点是经济与社会发展并重。镇域经济当前面临的最大难题是如何紧跟世界经济科技发展的大趋势 ,利用国际范围内产业调整和转移的机遇 ,及时进行产业结构的调整和升级。

Township economy, which means the economy in the area of an administrative town, is a sub-system of the regional economic system. The economic development of the Pearl River Delta is started with the growing up of the township economy. The development of the township economy embodies the industrialization path of the peal river delta. 'One town, one industrial; one town, one product', characterizes the township economy in the Pearl River Delta. The other characteristic of the township economy is the balance between the development of economy and of society. The difficult problems nowadays the township economy faces is how to follow the international economic and technological development trends and reconstruct and update the industrial structure by taking the chance of the international industrial reconstruction and transfer.
