In the safety assessment of the underground explosive magazine, it is very important to calculate the superpressure of the air shock wave which spreads in the drift. This paper introduces a calculation method of the superpressure. Better results can be obtained when this method is used for the safety assessment of underground explosive magazine. It can be used for determining the possibility of accident occurrence and the harm degree, which provides the basis of taking precautions. An improved design scheme of underground explosive magazine, which doesn't violate the rules for the blasting safety, is also put forward.
