Manufacture of Chiral Optical Fiber with Liquid Core

摘要 成功地研制出了液芯手征光纤 ,且对其偏振响应特性作了测试 ,发现同块状手征介质相比 ,出射光的偏振度及其消光轴都发生了变化。 By the use of chiral optical fiber, the sensitivity of an optical fiber sensing system can be improved, while the transmission bandwidth of an optical fiber communication system can be controlled and optimized. The waveguide dispersion of chiral optical fiber can be used to cancel the material dispersion of optical fiber, so that the total waveguide dispersion is reduced. The chiral optical fiber with liquid core was manufactured. An experimental investigation was made on its polarity response. It was found that the polarization ratio and the extinction axes of output light are changed as compared with the bulk chiral medium.
