The definition of 2 norm was introduced in linear spaces and the linear spaces normed with 2 norm were denoted as linear 2 norm spaces.The authors gave the concept of co sun point and investigated the problem of nonlinear coapproximation in these spaces.By the related results obtained in nonliear best coapproximation problem in general linear normed spaces,results concerning the characterization of the nonlinear best coapproximation in linear 2 normed spaces were presented,and the relationship between best approximation and the best coapproximation in linear 2 normed spaces were also discussed.
