Pharmacognostical Studies of the Chinese Medicinal Drug "Ma-Wei Huang-Lian" from Gansu

马尾黄连为唐松草属(Thalictrum)多种植物的根及根茎,民间主要用于治疗肠炎、痢疾等,常代替黄连使用。作者收集了甘肃常见17种、3变种唐松草属植物,进行了原植物鉴定和生药学方面的研究,以便为区别这些种类及控制药材质量提供依据。

'Ma--wei Huang--lian', a kind of Chinese medicinal drugs Which refers to the roots and Ahi- zomes of many plants of the genus Thalictrum, mainly used to treat enteritis, dysentery etc. Among the people and often to replace the Chinese traditional drug Huang--lian(Rhizoma Copdidis). we had col- lected 17 species and 3 varieties of Thalictrum, which commonly grew in Gansu province, identified the original plants and studied their characteristics of pharmacognosy, in order to distinguish these species and to provide the basis for controlling the quality of medicinal materials of 'Ma--wei Huang--lian'.
