Value Conflicts in the Network Culture

信息网络的交互性、开放性、全球性、自由性、虚拟性等基本特征构成了一种全新的网络民主和网络生存方式。网络民主从根基上改变了工业时代国家集权和世界霸权的信息技术前提,使其成了集权和霸权的挑战者、消解器和掘墓者;网络民主还会引发多元文化之间、网络自由与网络规范之间的价值冲突;网络生存方式极大地改变了人类固有的生存方式、交往方式、生活方式、思维方式及观念模式,进而引发虚拟性与实在性、自我与非我,以及网民心理方面的价值冲突。

The characteristics of information network such as interaction,openness,globility,freedom and virtuality have constituted a new type of democracy and way of living.Network democ-racy has formed the IT basis for the destruction of the centralized state p ower and world hegemony established in the industrial times.It has become the challenger、the eliminator and the gravedigger o f the centralized power and hegemony.It will also cause value conflicts between network freedom and network regulations and among plura l cultures.The ways of living,communication、life styles、thinking and ideology of human beings have bee n changed greatly by network living s tyle.These changes have caused the value conflicts between v irtual world and reality,self and non -self as well as psycho-logical conflicts in network users.
