越楚关系述略

A General Survey on the Relationship between Yue and Chu

春秋时期，长江流域山现越楚对峙的局面。从政治、经济和文化三个方面管窥越楚两国关系的概貌，从中我们可以看山，两国虽然在一定时期内保持了和平共处，甚至还一度出现越国占优势的局面，但两国综合国力的对比是楚国胜于越国。越楚两国关系从产生直至灭亡，双方的交往一直未曾中断。双方相互影响，互相渗透，为中华民族的古代文明作出了巨大的贡献。

During the Spring and Autumn period, in the Yangtze valley the confrontation appeared between Yue and Chu. The two states coexisted peacefully but the comprehensive power of Yue was superior to that of Chu. The two sides influenced and infiltrated each other so much that they both made great contribution to the ancient civilization of Chinese nation.
