Security stability is very important in power system operation.With the deregulation of electricity industry, the environment of security stability analysis and control is undergoing great changes,such as larger capacity power transmission over longer distance,operation closer to security limit, more uncertainty factors, and so on.In this environment, the security control system of electric power system encounters many challenges. The situation is briefly analyzed and the concept of the security control system in electric power market is proposed.
