On the General Approach to the Struggle Against Corrupt Dealings

反腐败斗争具有长期性、艰巨性 ,必须从宏观上思考、确定斗争的正确方式和策略。坚持法德兼备、以法为主 ;标本兼治、以本为要 ;教督兼施 。

The struggle against corrupt dealings is an arduous long term work, and we must, from a macroscopic view, define the general approach to doing the work. The general approach is to treat the corruption by looking into both its root causes and symptoms with the focus on the root, to struggle against the corruption by both law and ethics with the emphasis on the law, and to control the corruption by both education and supervision with the more attention to the former.
