当前，高校思想政治工作面临着新的形势和新的任务。贯彻“三个代表”的要求，加强和改进高校思想政治工作，必须在继承和发扬优良传统的基础上，在内容、形式、方法、手段、机制等方面进行改进和创新，增强时代感，提高针对性、实效性、主动性，不断增强高校思想政治工作的生机与活力。

Nowadays ideological and political work in colleges is facing new situation and tasks. To carry out the requirements of 'three representatives' and enhance and improve ideological and political work in colleges, improvements and creation must be realized in as- pects like content, form, methods and system on the basis of inheritance and development of good traditions. The work must be updated with more accurate pertinence, practicality and initiation to be more vigorous.
