The significance of market oriented literature in 1990s does not lie in the amount of masterpieces that caused sensation, but in the breakup of writer's hegemony of language that took shape on the basis of literarymoralization since Qin and Han Dynasty, and in the establishment of practical basis for the reconstruction of a democratic literary language system.
