小城镇研究的回顾与展望

The Retrospect and Prospect of Research on Small Towns in China

提出我国小城镇研究基本可分成三个阶段,不同的阶段其研究的基本内容可以归结为:地位和作用,机制和动力,规划和建设以及问题和政策。指出过去对小城镇赖以产生、存在和发展的制度环境和文化环境关注不够,这些将是未来小城镇研究的重点所在。

This paper suggests that the research on small towns could be divided into three sequences with its basic research content focusing on position & funcition, mechanism & motivation, planning & construction, problems & policy, etc. It enhances that the previous research concerns more on technical aspects than on the mechanism and cultural environment for the formation, existence and development of small towns, on which more emphasis should be placed in the future.
