The Relationship between Appendectomy and Hematological Malignancy

目的 :了解血液系统恶性肿瘤和阑尾切除的关系。方法 :回顾性调查 2 0 3例血液系统恶性肿瘤患者的阑尾切除史 ,并与对照组相比较。结果 :阑尾切除率在肿瘤组较对照组显著增加 (P <0 .0 5 )。结论 :阑尾切除可能增加以后血液系统恶性肿瘤发生的危险性 。

Objective: To determine the risk of hematological malignancy following appendectomy. Methods: The history of appendectomy was retrospectively investig ated in 203 patients with hematological malignancy. Results: The incidence of appendectomy was significantly higher in patients with hematological malignancy compared with that in controls. Conclusion: Appendectomy is lik ely to be associated with hematological malignancy. The possible role of appende ctomy in the pathogenesis of malignant neoplasm needs further investigation.
