《瑞普·凡·温克尔》是美国文学早期著名作家华盛顿·欧文脍炙人口的短篇小说 ,其主人公的名字瑞普在美国家喻户晓。本文从作家创造性地移植欧洲民间传说。
Rip Van Winkle' is one of the best short stories of Washington lrving, a famous writer of the early American literature. Rip, the major character in the story, has become a figure known to every household in America. This paper focuses on three aspects -the writer's creative transformation of the European legend, successful characterization and romantic craftsmanship--to describe the beauty and charm of the story.
