Socialism:a Cause for Modern Society

社会主义是人类扬弃资本主义的历史事业，而资本主义最重大的历史成就之一正在于实现了社会内在结构的历史性转型、把传统社会转变为现代社会。今日中国必须通过社会转型，实现从传统社会向现代社会的历史性转变，才能获得建设社会主义所必不可少的历史基础。

Socialism is a historic cause which has been bei ng carried out by ma nkind on the basis of developing what is useful and discarding what is useless o f capitalism.One great achievement scored at the phase of capitalism consists,am ony other things,in the fact that it has brought about the historic transformati on in the internal structure of society,thus changing the traditional society in to the modern one.So it can be inferred that todays China has also to undergo the social transformation so as to succeed in the change from the traditional so ciety to the modern one,and to lay down the historic foundation indispensable to building socialism. ［
