The Way in Which China's Contempory Art is Getting Metropolitanized

中国当代艺术自90年代以来发生了很大的变化，其根本的动因是中国社会经济加速发展中城市向都市的转变所造成艺术存在条件的变化。当代艺术因而从半农业化的表现方式逐步演化为工业化、都市化的表现方式。从近20年艺术现象的考察中可以发现这一艺术方式的发生背景及表现特征。

Great changes have taken place in Chinas conte mporary art since the 1990s.The fundamental motivating cause is the change in conditions for prese nce of art which has been given rise to by the shifting of cities to metroplises in the accelerated development of Chinas socio-economy.Thus the contemporary art has undergone a gradual evolution from the semi-agriculturalized represent ation to the industrialized,metropolitanized representation.A survey of phenomen a of art in recent 20 years will reveal the background against which this form o f art and its manifestation characteristics occur. ［
