Modernizing Traits of Legal System Reform in the Late Qing Dynasty

清末法制改革是 2 0世纪中国法制史极其重要的一页。它所表现出来的现代化特征主要有 :初步树立了“变法图强”、“以法为治”的现代化法律观念 ;确立了立宪法、开议院、伸民权 ,建设君主立宪制国家的基本原则 ;建立了体系较为完备的现代化法律制度的基本框架 ;开创了司法制度和法律操作程序现代化的先河。清末法制改革的成果影响了整个 2 0世纪中国法制现代化的进程。

The legal system reform in the late Qing Dynasty played an important role in the history of legal system of China in the 20th century.It has also displayed some traits of modernzation;initially establishing the legal idea of the modernization of 'political reform for being a powerful state'and 'understanding law for ruling a state',setting up the basic principles of establishing consitution,convening parliament and promoting democracy and building a country with rules of law,starting the judicial system and law operating procedure.The achievement of the legal system reform in the late Qing Dynasty influenced upon the whole of the 20th century.
