21世纪的高校德育工作 ,应站在历史新的起点上 ,克服目前的片面性 ,进一步推进人类的文明与进步 ,努力培养铸造现代人文精神。为此 ,应加强艺术教育 ,加强和改进德育工作 ,提高学生的思想境界、道德精神和审美意识 ,以培养德、智、体、美全面和谐发展的人才。

In the 21st Century, moral education in higher institutions should start from a new historical point-the current one-sidedness should be overcome for farther development of human civilization, progress, and healthier cultivation of modern personality. To reach this goal, education should be enriched with arts, moral education strengthened and improved, students' moral level and aesthetic awareness raised. In this way, students can be cultivated of sound morality and mind, healthy body and aesthetic judgement.
