The novel The Centennial Solitude is a reflection of the Creolean solitude which comes from their cultural disorder and breakdown. The creolean culture, made up of three diverse sub-cultural sources and lacking a scientific integration, fell into a great crisis because of its failure to adopt and adapt to the advanced European civilization. The novel is characterized by miraculous realism. The major literary heroes failed in their attempt to combat the secluded solitude. The Macondo Town perished with a symbolic death of the colonialist culture.
