Civilian Economy should be Vigorously Developed in West Development

改革开放后造成我国东西部差距拉大的重要原因之一就是西部地区民营经济及其他非公有制经济不发达。现在我国实施西部大开发战略 ,理应大力发展民营经济。发展民营经济有其必要性与可行性。发展民营经济必须解放思想 ,大胆创新 ,加快经济体制改革 ,建立和完善社会主义市场经济体制 ,努力营造利于民营经济发展的外部环境 ,并深化民营企业的改革 ,提高自身的竞争能力。

One of the reasons why the gap between the East and the West became wider after the open door policy lies in an inadequate development of civilian economy and other non-public economic elements. In the current strategy of West Development, civilian economy should be vigorously developed. The development of civilian economy is necessary and feasible. The development of civilian economy calls for an open mind, bold innovation, a hastening in the reform of economic system, the establishment and perfection of the system of socialist market economy, a harmonious atmosphere, deepened reform of the civilian enterprises and an upgrading of their competitiveness.
