Exploring preliminarily of Jiangzemin's thought about women's movement

江泽民同志十分关心和重视妇女事业的发展，他从我国社会的现状和妇女发展的历史进程出发，精辟地阐述了中国妇女运动的理论：第一次系统地阐述什么是马克思主义妇女观及其主要内容，指出马克思主义妇女观是中国妇女运动的指导思想，号召全党全社会都要树立马克思主义妇女观；指出坚持中国共产党领导、坚持社会主义道路是中国妇女运动的基本道路，号召各级党委和政府要重视妇女工作；提出男女平等的基本国策，作为中国妇女运动的政府政策保障；指明了跨世纪中国妇女和妇联工作的发展方向。

Comrade Jiangzemin is very concemed with and also pays much attention to the devel- opment of women's cause. He sets forth penetratingly the theory of Chinese women's movement from our social current situation and the historical course of women's movement. He first expounds in a systematic way what Marxist women's view and the main content are. He points out they are the guiding ideology of Chinese women's movement and calls the whole Party and the society to set up Marxist women's view. He also points out the sticking to the lead of the Communist Party of China and the sticking to the socialist road are the basic road of Chinese women's movement. He puts forward the basic national policy of equal- ity of men and women and makes it the policy guarantee of women's movement. He shows clearly the de- veloping direction of cutting across century of Chinese women and the work of the Women's Federation.
