The Narrative Structure of Ji Ming Feng Yu

文章分析了刘斯奋的长篇小说《鸡鸣风雨》在叙事结构上的特点 :1 叙事的起点和终点为浓重的时代氛围所笼罩。 2 不重视具体人物与故事的整体性 ,甚至可以说人物和故事给人以“散”的感觉。3 由起点和终点所组成的氛围与人物心理感受共同构成某种“气韵” ,它成为结构小说的核心方法。并指出 ,这种叙事结构直接承续中国古典写意性小说的叙事传统 。

This paper analyzes the narrative structure of Ji Ming Feng Yu by Liu Si_fen in the following aspects: first, the beginning and the end of narration are full of distinct atmosphere of the particular age; secondly, the entirety of specific characters and events are neglected to the extent of 'looseness' with regard to characters and events in the novel; thirdly, a certain appeal resulting from the atmosphere characterized by the start and the end as well as by the mental feeling of characters constitutes the core of the narrative structure. It is also pointed out that this narrative structure, which directly inherits the traditional narrative method in classical Chinese novels, is a restoration and development of traditional Chinese narration.
