On the Structure Pattern of Travel Series of Chuci and Its Impact on Chinese Fairy Poetry

Chuci contains a series of works whose theme is travelling. Concealed below the various superficial differences of the texts is a common narrative structure pattern, which can be divided into four parts according to the logical sequence: the reasons for travelling , the preparations for travelling , the course of travelling, and the outcome of travelling. This pattern had exerted a notable impact on Chinese fairy poetry.
