摘要
本文通过对《白虎能义》文本的分析，认为在把握《白虎通义》的总体特征上有三个关键词：“天检相与” 的世界观，“唯象唯法”的方法论，“神道设教”的政治实践。它对周礼和董学既有承袭又有发展：在天道秩序的建构上超越了周礼，在诸礼义理的甄别和礼制框架的设定上又超越了董学。作为东汉以后历代王朝唯一的一部官方礼典，它在中国传统文化中的地位是非常独特的。
