摘要
莎士比亚著名悲剧《哈姆莱特》的主人公“是人文主义者的典型形象” ,是前苏联和我国莎学界长期流行的传统观点 ,近年来虽有某些学者 (包括本文作者 )挑战 ,在我国学界仍居主导地位。在进一步澄清“人文主义”概念的基础上 ,通过精细的文本分析把握莎剧本原语境 ,可以清晰地表明 :哈姆莱特既非文艺复兴时期狭义人文主义者 ,亦非广义人文主义者或“蒙田式”人文主义者 ,因而传统观点应予彻底否定。
This paper further elaborates its author's position on the issue of whether Hamlet is a humanist. It provides a review of recent challenges to the traditional Soviet and Chinese interpretations that have hitherto dominated Shakespeare criticism in China. With an analysis based on a close textual reading, the paper emphasizes the need to regard Hamlet rather as a feudal prince in a dilemma than as either a typical humanist or a so called Montaignesque humanist.
