The chronology of the commanding generals in charge of the defence of Xiongzhou in Northern Song Dynasty

雄州为北宋最北之边疆重镇 ,北临契丹。其守臣均为武将。雄州守臣的举动 ,往往起到牵一发而动全局的作用 ,因此朝廷选任守臣便尤为谨慎。为供研究宋史者参考 ,特勾检宋籍 ,将雄州守臣列为年表。

Xiongzhou was an important city along the northern frontier in the Northern Song Dynasty.To its north was Qidan(or Khitan).The activities of Xiongzhou's commanding general might affect the whole situation of the country,so the court was very cautious in selecting the commanding general.The chronology is given in this paper for the reference of the historians.
