On the Characteristeristics of Multiple Choice Questions and their Design

多项选择题因具有较高信度而被广泛采用 ,但也因不能检测学生语言产出能力、效度较低而备受批评。为此提出一些提高多项选择题效度的方法 ,供测试命题者参考。

Multiple choice questions are widely adopted in various tests because they have high reliability. However their poor validity resulted from the inability to test students'linguistic productivity has brought up torrents of criticism. The article,thus,suggests several rules for test designers to obey in the course of designing multiple choice questions in order to avoid low validity.
