On Confucius's Economic Ideology

孔子的经济思想是其理论学说的重要构成部分。其指导原则是"因民之所利而利之"。具体构成内容为先富后教、崇俭黜奢、轻徭薄赋及着眼于政治的分工论、均贫富等。这些思想在一定程度上符合社会历史实际需求，并对后世产生了深远影响。

As an important part of his theory and doctrine, Confuci us based the guideline of his economic ideology on the idea of 'seeking the bene fits that benefits the subjects'. The idea involves such strategies as developing education following promoting economy, advocating thrift but attac king extravagance, reducing taxes and rates, and such political advocates as the theory of social division and equating the social property. All these ideas complied with the historical and social realistic demand and exercised profound influence on the later generations of rulers.
