According to the traditional way of dividing sentence patterns, sentences of this kind are divided, in terms of the predicate, into four types: those in which verb phrases act as predicate, those in which adjectives or adjectival phrases act as predicate, those in which substantives act as predicate and those in which subject_verb phrases act as predicate.
