On the Cultural Function of Poetry of the Song Dynasty in Entertainment

宋初朝庭将赏花钓鱼、曲宴赋诗作为常例和制度规定下来 ,以至形成一种自上而下的饮宴游乐的文化习俗。曲子词在宋初朝庭这种文恬武嬉、欢歌醉舞的世俗文化的风习中 ,找到了合适的位置———于酒席歌筵承担娱宾遣兴的角色功能。宋词的文化角色功能具体表现在消遣式、反省式、游戏式、价值化、审美化等方面。宋词所表现出的与诗文道统迥异的文化功能 ,是宋人对文学功能的一种开掘 ,是宋人关于人性的深度觉醒。

In the early Song Dynasty,the Court made enjoying beautiful flowers and fishing as well as composing poems at feast a common practice and rule,which developed into a cultural custom of feast and recreation. Ci found its place in such a custom-to recreate guests at feast.Its cultural role is recreational,soul-searching and aesthetic.The cultural function of ci ,which is quite different from Confucian orthodoxy of poetry,is the development of literary function in the Song Dynasty and shows that people of the Dynasty were aware of human nature.
