This paper sums up the experience on the modification of continuous slab caster, which includes the improvements on the oscillator, secondary cooling system, withdrawal and straightening machine, torch cutter, capacity expansion of tundish. It also includes the modernization of eleetrical, in-stru-mental and automatic water-supply systems. It gives emphasis to the items and effects of the modification.
