摘要
在简略阐述互联网的产生及设计机理的基础上．提出了互联网的鲜明特征，并进一步阐释了网络经济的突出 特点，在与农耕文明、工业文明比较的基础上，概述了网络文明能促进人的自由而全面发展的巨大历史进步。
Based on outlining the history and the mechanism of Internet, this paper summarises the out standing features of this great invention of mankind. The marked traits of the Net-Economy are also discussed in the pa- per. Therefore, differ ent from Agricultural and Industrial Civilization, the Net-Civilization will lead to free and complete development of mankind.
