Reviewing the background and course of Chen Jiageng's setting up Xiamen University. The paper introduces chiefly the three Jiageng buildings of Xiamen University from their planar layout, vertical design, spatial technique and choosing material and so on, then comments on their historical, scientific and artistic value. It is the purpose that is to arouse people to protect some excellent architectures as Jiageng buildings
