The research progress on technology of direct synthesizing dimethyl ether from synthesis gas was reviewed.The catalysts used,fixed bed and slurried bed process was included in progress.The performances and compositons of five catalysts were constrasted.The research and development on slurried bed process of NKK (Japan) and Air Products and Chemical Inc.(US) was presented.
