给予大鼠背部左侧胸 9脊神经皮支电刺激后 ,用原位杂交方法观察了本节段背根节 PPTA m RNA表达的变化。证明电刺激后 2 4h,左侧胸 9节段背根节 PPTA m RNA的表达较对侧和对照组有显著增高 ( P<0 .0 1)。表明较强的电刺激可增加背根节细胞 PPTA m RNA的表达 ,提示
By in situ hybridization histochemistry, the changes of preprotachykinin A(PPTA) mRNA expression were examined in the neurons of thoracal dorsal root ganglion(DRG) after a strong electric stimulation to the dorsal branch of the left ninth thoracal spinal nerve of rat. There was a significant increase in the number of neurons expressing PPTA mRNA in the ipsilateral DRG compared with the DRG of the contralateral side and control animals 24 h after the electric stimulation. The present results showed that strong electric stimulation can activate biosynthesis of PPTA mRNA in the DRG, which indicate that PPTA may play important roles in the transmission and regulation of noxious information.
