In this paper, the function of silencer in ventilat ed air-condition sy stem and the four factors to judge the silencer's quality are discussed, in prac tical engineering application, according to each project's concrete situation, integrated consideration and having some emphasis on selecting the silencer are explained. At the same time, the located position and concrete installation demand are simply narrated. There fore, the job step of selecting the silencer in ventilated air-condition system is put forward and the technical analysis to the silencers in common use is car ried out. At last, each silencer's scope of application and function are explain ed.
