Ocean Surface Vector Current Synthesization of HF Ground Wave Radar

针对高频地波雷达双站系统利用两幅径向海流图合成矢量流前必须进行径向流插值的问题 ,提出了一种在极坐标系下的自然三次样条插值得到公共网格上径向流并合成矢量流的方法 .该方法成功应用于高频地波雷达 OSMAR2 0 0 0 ,并在国内首次进行东海表面流实时监测 ,将合成矢量流结果与传统海流计作对比 ,二者十分吻合 ,流向的标准差 <2 0°,流速的标准差 <10 cm/

Single-site HF gound wave radar can only map radial currents and dual-radar system should be adopted to map vector currents.Before synthesizing of vector current map based on two radial current maps measured by 2 site HF ground wave radar system,an interpolation of the radial current maps on some common grid must be done first.In this paper,an algorithm of vector current synthesizing via natural boundary cubic spline interpolation under the polar reference frame is developed.It was successfully applied in HF groud wave radar OSMAR2000 in the East Sea experiment for vector current synthesizing and the results well coincided with the measurements of the conventional ocean current meters which were set in situ for comparison.The standard error of current velocity between the two was below 10 cm/s,and that of current direction was below 20°.It was the first time that real time ocean surface vector current monitoring had been realized in China.
