In this paper is made an investigation into the Chinese society in Thailand starting from the sixties of the twentieth century with Thailand Chinese Tsengs Kinsmen General Association as the main example and with its Association News as the firsthand material. It is pointed out that owing to marked changes in international situation, Thailand Chinese society was confronted by an identity crisis and an anxiety of cultural loss, a truning point which led to the rise of kinsmen bodies.
