The description of sexual desire in Jin-Pin-Mei reflects the human natural instinct, and it has a series of features such as more desire and less feeling, injuring feudal ethics by sexual desire, collecting treasure by sexual desire, and reflects the ethos, common customs and features of middle and late Ming dynasty. The author revealed his attitude of restaining from sexual desire by his argument and his depicting about the heroes' and heroines' lechery resulting in deaths. He expressed his rational meditation and chose his position between abstinency viewpoint of Cheng and Zhu's rationalism and secular lechery customs.
