The Quaternary stratigraphic section along the Changhong Highway, Jiujiang, is characterized by a complete stratigraphic sequence and good outcrops. The authors have conducted lithostratigraphic, magnetostratigraphic, heavy-mineral and clay mineralogical and geochemical studies and studied Quaternary sedimentary environments along the section. Some new information has been obtained and progress made.
