１９２１年前后的李达，在动荡的历史中从激进的民主主义者转变成马克思主义者，积极传播马克思主义，促进马克思主义与中国工人运动相结合，为中国共产党的建设特别是党的思想理论建设作出了重要的贡献。他担任党中央第一届宣传主任之后，大力开辟和发展党的宣传阵地，为扩大我党的影响作出了突出的贡献。

Li Da turned from a radical democratic personape into a Marxist around the year of 1921. He propagated Marxism actively, com- bining Marxism with the worker's movement. He made important contribution to the construction of the ideological theory of the CPC. As the first propaganda director of the CCCPC, he set up and developed our Party' s propaganda positions vigorously and made great contribution to extend our party's influence.
