也辨“青骢马”

胡昌明《“青骢马”辨》认为，“骢”义后世诗文与许慎不同，或因许释未当，或因“骢”义转移。大量典籍证明，许释“骢”为“马青白杂毛也”没有不当，后世诗文将“骢”义扩大了，所以与许释有别。使用词典，不得混淆“词典义”与“训诂义”。

The author of the Debate About Black White Horse thinks that the word'cong'——a black white horse——has a meaning which is different from the explanation of Xushen in later poetry. The possible reasons are Mr Xu explained it improperly or the meaning of 'cong'has changed. But a lot of ancient books and records have proved that Mr Xu's explanation——cong'means a black horse with mixed white hair'——is proper, and the later writers expand the meaning of 'cong', so it is a little different from Xu's view. Therefore, when we use the word 'cong', we should be aware of the differences——its meaning in dictionaries and its meaning in ancient hooks.
