The Historical Evolution of Cardinal Numerals in Uygur Language

从鄂尔浑一叶尼赛碑铭语言到现代维吾尔语 ,古代突厥语—维吾尔语时期语言中的个别基数词由于受到语音演变过程的影响 ,表现出独特的发展演变形式 ,从而使维吾尔语文学语言及其方言在数词方面表现出了许多差异性。

The present paper makes a comparative study of Uygur language from the inscription on Urhun-Yinsay tablet to the period of modern Uygur language. During ancient Tukic--Uygur period, a small number of cardinal numerals in the language, influenced by Chinese phonetic evolution, are represented in modern Uygur language in its unique developing form. Hence, Uygur language and literature as well as its dialect and other Turkic languages show a lot of differences in numerals.
