近代中国一批有志之士走出国门 ,学习、吸收西方先进的教育经验 ,回国后 ,在教育实践中结合中国优良的教育传统 ,为我国近代教育开创了新的局面。郑晓沧作为该时代的代表人物之一 ,在学校教学、师资管理、科学研究等几个侧面有自己独到的见解。

In modern times, lots of people with insights went abroad to learn the advanced practices of western education and brought them back to China. They managed to integrate them into Chinese traditional education.Through enormous practice and experimentation, they started a new era for Chinese education.Zheng Xiaocang, one of the representatives of that period, expressed fully his ideas and thoughts in school education, teaching staff management and research management in his long career of education.
